Data Protection and Privacy Statement

Trust is important, especially when it comes to your personal data. That is why we see it as our obligation to exercise the utmost care in the handling of your personal data and to do everything we can to protect your information from misuse.

KLINGER GPI operates www.klinger-gpi.com (the "Service"). This statement sets out the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website. We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this statement.

Definitions

Personal Data

Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from that data (referred to hereafter as the “Data Subject”).

Usage Data

Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit)

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are saved and stored on a computer system via an Internet browser. They cause no damage. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser next time you visit our site.

Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string through which web pages and servers can be assigned to the specific internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This allows visited websites and servers to distinguish the Data Subject’s browser from other internet browsers which contain other cookies. A specific internet browser can be recognized and identified by the unique cookie ID.

By using cookies, KLINGER International can provide users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the cookie setting.

Cookies enable us to optimize the information and offers on our website in the interest of the user. As already mentioned, cookies allow us to recognise visitors to our website. By identifying users, we can make it easier for them to use our website. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not need to enter access data every time he or she visits the website because this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user’s computer system. Another example is the cookie of a shopping cart in an online shop. The online shop uses a cookie to “remember” the items a customer has placed in the virtual shopping cart.

Via a corresponding setting in the internet browser used, the Data Subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time and thus permanently reject the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies which have already been set can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common internet browsers. However, if the Data Subject deactivates the setting of cookies in the internet browser used, it may not be possible to make full use of all the functions on our website.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are essential to allow websites and their functions to work properly. Without these cookies, we could not provide services such as our forms.

Data Controller

Data Controller means a person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your data

Data Processor (or Service Provider)

Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any person (other than an employee of the Data Controller) who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of Data Processors in order to process your data more effectively.

Data Subject

Data Subject is any living individual whose Personal Data is processed.

User

A User is any individual using our website. A User whose Personal Data is processed corresponds to a Data Subject.

When you click on a plug-in provided by these (social) media networks, the plug-in is activated, establishes a connection to the server of the network in question, and your data can be transferred to this network. We have no influence over the scope and content of the data processed by the operator of the respective network when you activate the corresponding plug-in. If you do not consent to the transmission of your data, please avoid activating the plug-ins.

YouTube is a product of YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, which is represented by Google Inc. based at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you open a page of our website that contains a YouTube plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with YouTube’s servers. The content of the plug-in is directly transmitted to your browser by YouTube and integrated into the page. Through this integration, YouTube is informed that your browser has visited the corresponding page of our website. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a YouTube server in the USA and stored there. For further information on YouTube, please see https://www.youtube.com/intl/en-GB/yt/about

If you are logged in as a registered user of YouTube, YouTube will add this information to your personal user account. If you use the plug-in (e.g. by clicking the start button for a video), this information is also added to your user account. You can prevent this information from being added to your user account by logging out of YouTube and other products operated by YouTube LLC and Google Inc. and deleting the cookies for these companies from your browser before visiting our websites.

(Social) Media Channels

In the case of our presence in individual social media channels, we may act as joint Data Controllers together with the operator of the respective platform where the latter does not act as the sole Data Controller. However, as we do not have full access to the processing of data by the operator of the platform, we recommend that for a comprehensive overview, you read both our data protection policy and that of the respective social media platform.

On the basis of our legitimate interest (legal basis is Art. 6, sentence (1) letter (f) of the GDPR), we are entitled to process the following:

»  Your Personal Data, e.g. cookies, when you interact with our social media channels (please note, however, that some data may be gathered even when you are not logged in) and interaction data, e.g. when you communicate with us via our social media channels by means of posts, comments, personal messages or contact forms.

When you interact with our social media channels, we may have access to your publicly available data (e.g. your name and profile picture if you post a public comment on our website). Please check your profile settings to see which data is publicly accessible and, where necessary, adapt the settings to specify which data can be released by the platform. For further details, please refer to the Privacy Policy of the respective social media platform.

Above and beyond this, we receive from the operators of the social media anonymized statistics on the usage and popularity of our social media pages.

Social Media Share Buttons

We use links on our websites to several social media sites. The social media share buttons are links to the respective social media site. If you access web pages of our website, which have such a link, this will not create a connection to the respective social media site.

Only when clicking on those links, data will be sent to the social media sites. If you are logged in on the social media site at the same time, the social media site will associate this information to your personal user account. Please note that we have no knowledge of the exact content of the personal data transferred to the social media site, or how this data is used. You can only prevent this by logging out before using the link.

You will find more detailed information on the collection, the usage of data and on your rights to protect your privacy in this regard, in the data protection policy of the concerning social media site.

Web Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze how visitors use our website. The data thus gathered is used to optimize our website and advertising measures.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the data on the use of our website on our behalf and is contractually bound to implement measures ensuring the security and confidentiality of the processed data.

We do not transmit any Personal Data such as name, address or contact data to Google Analytics. Web analysis only enables the website operator to record and analyze how website visitors use this website. For this purpose, the website operator receives miscellaneous Usage Data, such as usage time, page views, dwell time, operating systems, or screen resolution. It is also possible to record whether website visitors perform certain actions, such as clicks or purchases.

This data is transmitted to Google servers in the USA. We expressly point out that it is not possible to guarantee that data protection legislation in the USA offers the same level of protection as in Europe.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years after your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID which makes it possible to recognize you when you visit the site again.

The recorded data is saved together with the randomly generated user ID to allow the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is deleted automatically after 14 months. Other data is stored indefinitely in aggregated form.

If you do not consent to the collection of your data, you can block it simply by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or opt out via our cookie settings dialogue.

This service does not use any Personal Data. No data is read or stored on the website visitor’s device. The IP address of the website visitor is anonymized. It is not possible to identify the website visitor after visiting the website.

Analytics Hosting

The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Profiling or a link to other sources is not possible as a result of this anonymized analysis data. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for information on the handling of user data at Google Analytics: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/ 6004245?hl=de.

Objection to data collection

You can block the collection of your data by clicking on the following link: An opt-out cookie will be set. This cookie will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to this website using your current browser.
